Why You Didn’t Receive Our Christmas Card

I just don’t get it. Another Christmas has passed and a new year is upon us and I STILL have not sent out my Christmas cards. I started way early, too. I wanted a nice holiday card of Chad and me to send out so others could see how gracefully we are aging. Chad is sporting a full beard and my hair is getting more and more white…grey… whatever….(I like to think it is a cool shade of blonde!)
First item of business: Plan A–find a nice picture of us together. Not so easy to do. If I’m smiling, he’s not. If he’s smiling, I have some horrid expression on my face. PlanB–find a good picture of Chad and a different good picture of me to cut and paste on a nice background. Found a really good one of Chad with his beard. The best I could do of me was to go back a couple of years. Found a great background, cropped the pictures, set it up beautifully, printed, then…the printer printed everything individually with our faces on one half of the page and the background on the other half without the cropping I had done. Man oh Man! Plan C-Send out a commercial Christmas card with a nice greeting and no picture. Oops! the calendar says it is
now Christmas Eve. Oh well, a New Year’s card is always appreciated, and the Year can be new all the way up to spring! So I’m not behind on that one.
I WILL wish you all a belated Merry Christmas complete with a picture of Chad (if it shows up on this post)…we won’t worry about MY picture right now since it’s not up to date anyway…and sometime before spring I should be able to send out a NewYear’s card with a great picture of a newly slenderized me and Chad with a clean shaven face. Happy Holidays everyone, hope the new year brings peace and joy to you and yours!
